Every second year, agpro initiates the agpro Research Award. This Price has received financial support by e.g. IBM, Bank Austria, the Vienna Economic Chamber and the City of Vienna.

The agpro Research Award honours research papers and projects that examine homosexuality and homosexuals in business, economics, law and society. It is given to finalised as well as planned research papers and projects. They can come from all disciplines or have an interdisciplinary nature.

A Scientific Board, composed from esteemed researchers and qualified agpro members, review all submissions and select the award winners.

With its Research Award, agpro addresses students and established researchers to do research on homosexuality and homosexuals. Various kinds of papers and projects are welcome: final theses, projects (e.g. exhibition, course), research projects and publications.

With the Research Award, agpro seeks to provoke research on homosexuals and homosexuality, particularly in Austria. The well-grounded findings of this research should provide agpro with facts that fuel the realisation its goals, e.g. the acceptance of homosexuality in society.
